Webcasting and event recording

Webcasting during COVID-19

Our services will continue to offer a live streaming and video recording service for any "virtual" internal event or meeting at the University. All webcasting and event recording requests are managed by MECS (SFU Meeting, Event, and Conference Services).

This service is NOT for teaching or lecture recording. Faculty and instructors can check out our remoste teaching technology and support instead.

This service is for internal events managed by MECS 

This service enables SFU departments and schools to reach audiences unable to attend an important event in-person or record an important meeting for future reference. It includes:

  • Live webcasting (or live stream on Zoom during COVID-19)
  • Event recording (or video recording on Zoom during COVID-19)
  • Video archiving

This service is NOT for teaching or lecture recording; and all webcasting and event recording requests are reviewed and managed by MECS (SFU Meeting, Event and Conference Services).

Accessing your past event recordings

Email: its-webcasting@sfu.ca

Eligible webcasts and event recordings are hosted on SFU servers for up to one year. Some videos are only viewable to a selected audience.

  • 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Saturday
