Hope Power is the Teaching & Learning Librarian at Simon Fraser University (SFU). She has a MLIS and BA from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and has worked as an academic librarian at SFU since 2006. In her current role, she leads and supports a wide range of teaching and learning projects in support of SFU Library’s Instruction Strategy. She is the founder and coordinator of the library’s Instruction Interest Group, which aims to develop and support a strong community of practice in the area of information literacy instruction. She also leads library support for open education initiatives on campus such as the SFU Open Educational Resources (OER) Grants program and SFU Open Educational Resources (OER) Working Group.
