Bialetti Background

The origins of Bialetti came to be in 1919 when Alfonso Bialetti started making aluminum products in his newly opened workshop in Verbania. Shortly later, this workshop, due to Alfonso’s entrepreneurship, transformed into a studio for designing and producing market ready products. The Moka Express, Bialetti’s iconic product, was created in 1933, and brings espresso from the coffee bar into the home.

Still to this day Bialetti is expanding its horizons as Bialetti Industrie, which is a conglomerate of companies such as OMG, Girmi, CEM and Aeternum, in order to offer two strategic business areas, Houseware (cookware, non-electric coffee makers, kitchen accessories) and SEA (small electrical appliances, including coffee makers).
