Will there be scheduled outages for each campus?

Each campus will have scheduled maintenance times for when network equipment is being replaced, but the related internet services will receive minimal interruption during these processes.

When and how will outage notices be provided?

48 hours notice of an outage will be provided via email to IT Services staff, departmental IT support staff, and internal and external customers as applicable. Outage information will also be posted through the IT Services Twitter account (www.twitter.com/sfu_it) and in the outage section of the IT Services site (www.sfu.ca/itservices/system-outages.html).

Will there be any network downtime during the standard workday?

There will be minimum interruption for University business operations during project implementation. The majority of renewal work will be completed during weekends, after business hours, holidays and university closures.

What if there are any issues after a scheduled outage or maintenance window?
