Launch of the Official SFU App Suite get help

November 04, 2016

The SFU community expects access to information anytime and anywhere, and to support this, the Official SFU App Suite was released on August 30, 2016. A joint project between Ancillary Services, University Communications, Student Services and IT Services, the suite is comprised of apps for students, faculty and staff.

SFU snap

Created by students, for students SFU snap gives students access to personalized course schedules, find room locations, consult transit schedules, and explore campus services like dining and parking. SFU snap moved from 542 to 1,440 daily active users in September 2016. Formerly named the Official SFU App.

SFU vault

Canvas by Instructure

All of the apps are available for iOS, and SFU vault, goSFU and Canvas by Instructure are also available on Android. "Developing a version for Android is a key part of our strategy," explained Keith Fong, Associate Director, Application Services. "We want all members of the SFU community to be able to use SFU snap. We are also simultaneously developing a web version for all other mobile devices and for use on desktops and laptops."

These official apps are directly supported and endorsed by SFU and require you to provide you SFU Computing ID and password in order to use them. To download the Official SFU App Suite, visit www.sfu.ca/apps.
