2. In the Out of Office section, select Send Auto-Reply Message to customize your vacation message. In the Time Period section you can also set up a time frame for your vacation message.
- You can also send a different message to external recepients without a SFU email address.
Set a Start and End Date
Future-dated start and end dates are effective as of 12:01am of the day. For example, if you set a start date of January 10, 2015 and an end date of January 15, 2015, messages will be sent starting January 10, 2015 at 12:00am until January 14, 2015 at 11:59pm.
In which cases is the auto-reply not sent?
In order to reduce spam, the system does not send auto-reply messages if a message was delivered to you because you are a member of a maillist. If you have email from any other account forwarded to your SFU Connect account, auto-replies will not be sent in response to those messages.
By default, auto-reply messages will only be sent to messages sent directly to the primary SFU email address of your SFU Connect account. If you have an alternate SFU email address at which you wish to send auto-replies, contact your department's technical support staff for assistance.
