I received an email supposedly from IT Services, asking for my personal information (SFU ID and / or password). Should I reply to it?

No, you should not.  IT services will never ask you for personal information, or send you a link over email that requires you to log in.  If there is a problem with your email or your account, your desktop support person will contact you.

One easy way to assure yourself that the email is a fake, is to hover your mouse over the embedded link in the email.  The website address will not be an SFU address, proving that the email is a fake.

If you are still unsure, please contact a desktop support person.  We will be glad to help you determine if there is an actual problem with your email or your account, or if it is a fake.
