How-to guides

Zoom has an online help centre, including video tutorials, to support troubleshooting common questions on using the tool.

Support for instructors and staff

Instructors and staff can schedule an online support time with IT Services in advance, if you want to:

  • Receive a technical walk through of Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, or Mediasite
  • Ask a technical question about Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, or Mediasite
  • Learn more about how to use Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, or Mediastie.

The Centre for Educational Excellence (CEE) will be offering workshops, on how to use Zoom as a tool for effective remote instruction. CEE will demonstrate features in Zoom that can be leveraged for teaching and learning, as well as highlight best practices for synchronous instruction.

Zoom account differences at SFU

At SFU your Zoom account will have different features unlocked depending on your role. These features are meant to promote the safety and security of all Zoom meetings being held at the University.
