How to Request the Services

Before submitting a request for services, please ensure you can answer yes to the following questions.

  • Are you submitting your request a minimum of 10 business days must before the event? 
  • Is your event for internal SFU employee and partner viewing?
  • Does the event venue has access to power and hardwired Internet?

All requests are managed by MECS in collaboration with IT Services. In the event of a late booking, a $100 fee will be charged to the client. In the case of the service being overbooked, an alternative solution of an external vendor will be arranged by IT Services.

Internal events refer to events viewed by SFU staff, faculty, or students. The services are also available to SFU partners (e.g. APSA or CUPE 3338) when university staff, faculty, or students are the audience. For SFU faculties and departments planning videos or campus-based webcasts aimed at external audiences, please contact SFU Communications and Marketing using the SFU Communicators Toolkit.


Please provide the official event title, which will appear in the SFU pages.

*A notice of a minimum of 10 business days is required to avoid the $100 late booking fee.
