Network Services maintains the University's wireless (Wi-Fi) network. This network is available in most areas on all three campuses. However, there may be areas in which wireless network coverage is not adequate. If that is the case, please contact Network Services (email@example.com) with your location information and that location will be investigated to determine the best course of action.
Installing Access Points
Consumer grade wireless access points (APs) makes the installation of a local wireless network easy. But, by doing so, the University's wireless network may be adversely affected. To avoid this problem, Network Services asks that all Departments refrain from purchasing and installing APs and instead work with the University to install additional wireless coverage.
As the operation of the University wireless network is of primary importance, existing non-authorized APs may be subject to blocking procedures or countermeasures without notice.
