RETURN TO CAMPUS

INDOOR AIR QUALITY CHECKS COMPLETED

SFU Facilities Services conducted air quality surveys in more than 1,000 spaces across our three campuses, including all classrooms. Ventilation in classrooms has been optimized, and classrooms unable to meet American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers standards have been pulled from scheduling.

Spaces over 30 square feet (such as open offices) have been included in the air quality survey, while smaller, lower occupancy spaces (such as individual offices) have not been included. If a guest is being hosted in an individual office, we recommend limiting occupancy, and opening windows and doors for additional circulation when possible.

Visit Safety & Risk Services' air quality page for a detailed list of evaluated spaces. If you have any concerns about ventilation in a specific area, please submit a service request.

It is expected that all SFU faculty, staff and students declare their vaccination status by Monday, September 20.

To learn more, visit the COVID-19 Vaccine Declaration page on the Return to Campus website or email covid19@sfu.ca

Submit your declaration today.

SFU works closely with Public Health, which oversees the process of case management and notification. Instructors, colleagues or classmates should never share a person’s private medical information, including test results or being tested for COVID-19.

For more information, please visit the Return to Campus webpage.
