RESOURCES + OPERATIONAL UPDATES

TRANSPORTATION CENTRE ELEVATOR CLOSURE IMPACTS

The Transportation Centre elevator is currently closed for maintenance and safety upgrades that are anticipated to take eight weeks to complete. This closure will impact community members who have disabilities (both visible and invisible) and rely on this lift to access the campus.

While arrangements have been made for a shuttle service and alternative routes are available, these options involve crossing greater distances and reliance on service providers. Community members may experience unavoidable delays, impacting their ability to get to classes and appointments on time. Where possible, please extend consideration and compassion around late arrivals.

Do you know a staff member who has gone above and beyond in their contributions to the university or their community this past year? Nominations are now open for our annual Staff Achievement Awards. Don't forget to submit your nomination before this year's deadline of October 29, 2021.

The annual United Way Book Sale will be held at the Burnaby campus from October 13-14. Used books, CDs, DVDs and board games can be dropped off at Bennett Library. For any questions, please contact uw-books@sfu.ca.
