Yesterday we celebrated the International Transgender Day of Visibility, but it's important to remember that striving to create trans and queer-supportive spaces is work we can do all throughout the year. Why not take some time to check out resources on the SFU Library's guide to trans and queer-supportive spaces? The guide includes a list of on-campus resources, best practices for creating trans-inclusive workplaces, and suggestions for being an effective trans ally. We also recommend checking out this article from the Westcoast Women in Engineering, Science and Technology about how you can be a better ally to trans and non-binary people in the workplace. |
Human Resources’ Learning & Development team has compiled a number of learning resources on key topics including dealing with change, enhancing resilience, having difficult conversations, communication skills and more. Use these resources to develop transferable skills as part of your ongoing professional development. |
