OPERATIONAL UPDATES

The Centre for Educational Excellence and SFU Library have partnered to create the "Healing from Racism Journey", a four-part online program designed for teaching faculty and sessional instructors. Part of CEE's Anti-Racist Pedagogies Program, participants will immerse themselves in self-research and growth, and develop ongoing practices in combatting anti-Black racism, anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Asian racism, and other forms of violence against BIPOC communities. You are invited to apply for the Summer 2021 cohort.

In January 2022, SFU will introduce a new Blended (B) course classification. The new course format will include a combination of in-person and online components, with some in-person class time replaced by appropriate online activities. The Centre for Educational Excellence will offer a 10-week Blended Learning Design course this summer for faculty interested in redesigning a course for blended delivery. You are invited to complete the survey and express your interest.

Applications for this Semester in Dialogue session have been extended to May 17, 2021. Encourage your students to apply for the chance to get a spot in a cohort program that focuses on learning by experience with a deep dive into the ecology, history and political realities of living in a coastal city on the edge of the Salish Sea.
