We are most familiar with the geometry of the Euclidean plane, but there are countless other exciting realms to explore!  In this talk we will do a little geometry on the sphere, and then discuss some other geometric worlds.

Join us on Monday, March 21st from 3:30 - 4:20 p.m. in AQ 2104  for a presentation by Matt Devos from the SFU Department of Mathematics.

Following the lecture you will have the opportunity to meet with other students who are interested in mathematics and have the opportunity to chat with faculty members from the Department of Mathematics.

The discussion is part of Math Outside of the Box, a series of lectures for undergraduate students.

Contact the mathematics advisor at math_advice@sfu.ca if you would like more information.
