My research is in combinatorial aspects of algebraic geometry and representation theory. I am particularly interested in Schubert calculus (enumerative geometry of planes), moduli of curves, syzygies, and the combinatorics of Young tableaux. In all of these subjects, we try to classify, simplify or break down geometric and algebraic problems, then use combinatorics to make sense of the results.
