MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY
The following Sessional appointment is expected to be available in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry during the Spring SEMESTER (January 4, 2021 – April 30, 2021).
MBB 322-Molecular Physiology
3 hrs. lecture – REMOTE LEARNING
Lectures: M/W/F 10:30 am – 11:20 am
Course description: Biochemical and molecular aspects of cellular function, interactions and communication including cell cycle, apoptosis, cancer, immune system, neuronal transmission and the signal transduction pathways that integrate them. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D in Cell or Molecular Biology or related discipline. A strong working knowledge in the areas of cell signaling, cell cycle, apoptosis, the molecular basis of cancer, and extracellular matrix and adhesion mechanisms and the factors that can impact them. Previous experience teaching upper division MBB courses.
Recommended qualifications: Post-doctoral experience.
