Mechatronics professor named MSFHR Scholar for mental health technology research

Mechatronic systems engineering professor, and Chair in Technology Innovations for Youth Addiction Recovery and Mental Health, Faranak Farzan is one of 17 recipients of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) Scholar awards for 2018. Her project will investigate the underlying causes of depression among youth as well as develop non-invasive brain stimulation technologies to treat the illness. She was the only SFU researcher selected in the competition.
