I am a biomechanist who is fascinated by how and why living things move the way they do. My particular research involves the use of musculoskeletal modelling and in-vivo measurement techniques to understand how muscles and tendons interact to satisfy the mechanical and energetic demands of locomotion. I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Melbourne in 2015. My current research focuses on investigating the influence of motor recruitment strategies on muscle force predictions in muscle models.

Research Interest

  • Musculoskeletal modelling
  • In-vivo muscle function
  • Motor recruitment strategies
