Description
CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:
Advanced study of selected works written between the late eighteenth century and the late twentieth century. May be organized by period, movement, theme or approach. Students with credit for FREN 467, 470 or 475 must get permission from the Department to take this course for further credit.

COURSE-LEVEL EDUCATIONAL GOALS:
Le cours s’élaborera à partir de lectures et de discussions, avec des questions de compréhension et de réflexion sur chaque oeuvre distribuées au préalable aux étudiant.e.s. Par le travail effectué ce trimestre, les étudiant.e.s approfondiront leur lecture et leur analyse des textes et images issus en large part de la fin du XIXe siècle. En même temps, ils exerceront leurs habitudes de recherche et étendront leurs acquis en rédaction à travers un journal de lecture comportant des entrées régulières.

- Journal de lecture, rendu deux fois (25% + 30%) 55%
- Examen de mi-trimestre 30%
- Participation aux activités et discussions de classe 15%
NOTES:
Les textes lus ce trimestre seront accompagnés d’une liste de questions pour leur étude à la maison et pour leur discussion durant le cours. Dans le cadre de ce cours, il est demandé de ne pas utiliser l'Intelligence Artificielle pour l'élaboration ou la rédaction des travaux.
Le cours n'a pas d'examen final.
