Description

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:

Acontinuation of CHIN 180. Students continue to develop skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese at a good pace. Lessons also include on-line listening and writing exercises. Students with credit for CHIN 101 may not take this course for further credit.

COURSE DETAILS:

CHIN 181 builds on the foundational skills developed in CHIN 180. The course emphasizes refining pronunciation, improving conversational skills, and introducing approximately 300 additional vocabulary for reading and writing.

Students will enhance their ability to communicate on everyday topics and deepen their understanding of Chinese cultural concepts and practices.

The class meets for 4 hours per week over six weeks. Attendance at the in-person tutorials is a requirement of the course. Tutorials begin in the first week of classes.
