CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to theoretical concepts and practical applications of therapy.
COURSE DETAILS:
In 822, we will review the theory, practice, and science of evidence-based psychological approaches to mental health, primarily among adults, with an emphasis on cognitive-behaviourally (CBT) oriented approaches. This course provides a foundation for 823 in the winter/spring semester. The focus of 822 will be on principles of evidence-based treatment, case conceptualization and treatment planning, and approaches often used in the earlier phases of therapy.
