Description

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:

A focus on interdisciplinary approaches to understanding and addressing the burden of disease and health inequities in socially and culturally diverse global and/or local settings. The intensive format is designed to foster hands-on, experiential learning in communities both locally and/or globally. There are a variety of experiential opportunities the faculty may offer, so it is important to check the course outline for specific locations and experiences. An introductory language course may be a requirement for some course locations. International locations will require students to register with the SFU International Travel Safety Program. May be repeated for credit if a different topic is taught.
