Description
CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:
In-depth treatment of a selected area of Linguistics. Specific topics will vary from offering to offering.
COURSE DETAILS:
This course will introduce the concept of phonological opacity through several lenses, including competing theoretical frameworks, L1 acquisition, and laboratory phonology. Students will learn to describe different forms of phonological opacity and to posit research questions and experiments.
This is an intersession course. The class will meet in-person for six hours per week.

- Weekly presentations/discussions 40%
