Description
CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:
Advanced non-relativistic and some basic relativistic quantum mechanics: symmetries, Schroedinger/Heisenberg pictures, mixtures, variational and perturbative methods, Dirac equation.
COURSE DETAILS:
– Review of linear vector spaces and operators, Hilbert spaces
– States and observables, entanglement
– Symmetries and conservation laws
– Squeezed and coherent states
– Angular momentum; rotations
– Perturbation theory and variational methods
– Time dependent phenomena
– Identical particles
– Relativistic quantum mechanics
