Exercise 2:

 

• Open up C-gram.
  • Print out just your lexicon. It should include nouns and verbs from the previous two exercises.

 

1. Open up Grammar2a.
   • In this grammar you will generate a noun, a quantifier, and a determiner.
   • Generate the following NPs:
   • the book
2. a cynic.
3. two boxes.
4. the five apples.
5. some pears.
6. these four students
7. that one jackal.
8. air.
9. some cream.

• Written exercise:
  • Draw a tree diagram showing the derivation "those four students" indicating agreement
  • Write up the lexican entry with features necessary for the above problem for "jackal" and "air".
