1. Go back to your propositional structures you have determined for Exer. 1 and 2.
Review your propositional structures and lexical items that you have completed.
2. Now draw a propositional structure for the following sentences:
(1). The ship sank.
(2). The egg cooked.
(3). John slept.
3. For these structures, select the appropriate lexical item for each predicate wherever possible, or select the appropriate grammatical feature pertaining to lexical insertion.
Do whatever you have to do to abide by the principles discussed.
If necessary, go back to the lexicon and select more lexical items.
(Just fill in NPs, we have not discussed the propositional structure of a NP yet).
