The following sentences are to be generate on Grammar 4 when it is ready. These sentences will be applied to Exercise 6:
- When Grammar is on line, generate the following verb (voice) phrases:
- had eaten a yellow banana
- has seen the sky
- is writing those three long letters
- has been visited several friends
- has been being stolen many very clean bottles
Ultimately, these sentences will taken on the following forms:
- John had eaten a banana.
- The monkey has seen the sky.
- Mrs. Jones is writing those three letters.
- Several friends have been visited.
- Many bottles have been being stolen by derelicts.
- Draw a tree diagram showing the derivation of "The watermelon has been being eaten by two kids." indicating agreement currently covered, and copying features. Be sure to include any links that may occur. Draw each step indicating which rule has been applied.
Open
up two files and read them:
- Feature copying: Subject, head of SP
- I now consider SP to be VP in the syntax, or PromP in the logical base.

Draw
by hand the tree structure including links for example #5 above
from the upper set (the one you generate with the program).
