Starting today, I will gradually post 5 lists of Chinese trolley-bus systems. Since most people on this list are not very familiar with these magnificent cities of China, I will make some brief introduction to each one to make the matter more interesting.
Today I will post the list of Hongzhou. Hongzhou (pronounced as Houng'chow) is the capital of Zhejiang (pronounced as Zher'jiang) province situated in the richest argricultural region of China--the Yantze Delta. It is located only 150 km south-west of Shanghai, yet its rich history is by far more long standing than Shanghai. It was the capital of China during the late Song Dynasty in 12th and 13th century, and has always been the most famous tourist city of China with its rich history and diverse natural beauty.
Xi'hu (known as West Lake) is located at
the west side of the city surrounded by
small hills at north, south and west. Three small islands are
scattered in the
lake, and when look far into distance on top of the hills, the
lake and islands become a perfect assambly like a crown mounted
with precious stones. And of course the beauty of West Lake and
its surrounding is far more exceeding than what I describe here,
no wonder in 14th century when Marco Polo visited Hongzhou, it
became his favourite city, and in his famous book of "The
Travels of Marco Polo", he described it as the "heavenly
city on earth."
The smalls hills that surround the West Lake are also well known for its tea plantation. The precious tea grown here known as Long'jing has long been selected as the gift for foreign leaders during their visit to China. President Richard Nixon and Dr. Henry Kessinger all enjoy a sip of fregrant Long'jing tea.
There are 5 trolley-bus routes in Hongzhou, and since Hongzhou is so close to Shanghai, all the vehicles of their fleet are manufactured in Shanghai. Here is the list of Hongzhou's trolley-bus routes:
151 Hongzhou Rail-way Station -- Wu'lin'men (Wu'lin Gate).
152 Hongzhou Rail-way Station -- Gu'dang (pronounced as Gu'doung) Community.
153 Xiong'zhen'lou (pronounced as Hsiung'Chun'low) (Xiong'zhen Tower) -- Wu'lin'men (Wu'lin Gate).

Gen'shan'men (Pronounced as Gun'shan) (Gen'shan Gate) --Wu'lin'men.

So if you are planning to travel to China,
