5G20.30 Compass Array
Magnetic domain of a magnet
An array of 24 compass needles (4 x 6) mounted on pivots may be used to demonstrate magnetic domains. Note: this demonstration can be shown on the overhead projector and is appropriate for large lecture halls.
-  Compass array
-  Bar magnet
- Place the compass array on the overhead projector. Note the direction of the needles.
- Place the bar magnet beneath the compass array. Note the direction of the needles.

- The compass array consists of 24 compass needles (4 x 6) mounted on plexiglass. We have two identical units of compass array
