Teachers’ Workshops

Monday June 3, 9 am – 5 pm

The main focus of the workshop sessions will be learning how to adapt current laboratory activities to the new BC Curriculum design. Registration for the day of workshops includes the opportunity to attend the Opening Plenary talk by the 2018 Physics Nobel Prize Winner, Canadian Dr. Donna Strickland. There will also be an additional workshop session on the use of Foldscope paper microscopes in the classroom, in which teachers will build and take home their own Foldscope. Teachers (at any grade level, not just high-school Physics) may choose to only attend the Foldscope session. The Foldscope workshop will be run by Dr. Manu Prakash.

Information about the teacher workshops is available at http://www.sfu.ca/physics/outreach/cap-teachers-workshop.html
