Chris Apps is a director of Lands and Resources at the Kitselas First Nation.
He helds a Master's of Public Policy with focus on Indigenous Consultation. He has dedicated his career and education to Consultation with Indigenous peoples, focusing primarily on extractive industries. He spent two years in Atlin, BC working with the Taku River Tlingit First Nation liaising with miners, negotiating agreements and implementing the Wóoshtin wudidaa: Atlin-Taku Land Use Plan before working with the BC Oil and Gas Commission conducting Consultation on various LNG Projects around Terrace, BC. In his current role as Director of Lands and Resources with Kitselas First Nation, he oversees 3 critical divisions that develop, implement a range of programs and services for the community. Through his work, he has established productive working relationships across many Nations in NW BC.
