Rina Kashyap recently defended her dissertation, Security/Development in the Neoliberal Age: Responsibility to Protect (R2P) in the United Nation’s Security/Development Dispositif. During her doctoral studies she was awarded the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship for the same. Her research is a critical examination of the incorporation of ‘responsibility to protect’ (R2P) at the United Nation.
Rina is also Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Political Science, Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), University of Delhi, where she worked during her doctoral studies. She teaches courses in political theory, international relations, and Indian politics. She also taught courses in the Journalism and Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding programmes at LSR.
She was a Fulbright Scholar at the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, Eastern Mennonite University and a Visiting Scholar at the Center for International Conflict Resolution, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
