Sandra MacLean is an Associate Professor specializing in international political economy and comparative development. Her main areas of research are globalization and governance in relation to health and human security, with a particular focus on Southern Africa. She is co-editor of Crisis of Governance in Asia and Africa (Ashgate 2001), Advancing Human Security and Development in Africa: Reflections on NEPAD (CFPS 2002), and A Decade of Human Security: Global Governance and the New Multilateralisms (Ashgate 2006). She has published chapters in several edited volumes and articles in Policy and Society, Third World Quarterly, Global Networks, Canadian Foreign Policy, Canadian Journal of Development Studies, New Political Economy and Journal of Contemporary African Studies.
