In conjunction with WD2019, SFU on June 2nd will present a day of multi-panel sessions and interactive art displays on gender-responsive health systems and services at the Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue. If you are interested, and to register visit the event page here.
These will include a panel discussion involving SFU’s Angela Kaida, Canada Research Chair in Global Perspectives in HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health, on the impacts of the criminalization of HIV non-disclosure on the lives, relationships, health and wellbeing of women living with HIV in Canada.
As well, SFU Political Science Professor S. Laurel Weldon will be particpating in a panel entitled 'Women's Leadership: Creating Change with Activism' featuring Julia Gillard, former Prime Minister of Australia, and other women leaders. Click here to register.
It is my pleasure on behalf of SFU to welcome all speakers and delegates coming to Vancouver for WD2019. I wish attendees an inspiring, engaging and productive conference that will serve as a catalyst for change and help to advance women’s and girls’ empowerment in Canada and worldwide.
