Students are required to participate in Clinical Area research seminars (PSYC 912) throughout their MA and PhD programs.
Students are required to complete PSYC 744, 770, 820/821, 822/823, 824, 880 (practicum), 910, 911, 898, and two Area courses. In addition, clinical students are required to enroll in and achieve satisfactory performance in PSYC 825 (Clinical Practice) in five out of six semesters of the M.A. program, the exception being the practicum semester. Students are not permitted to register in PhD course work beyond the seventh semester in the MA program, until the MA thesis is complete, or they receive joint approval from their Senior Supervisor and the Director of Clinical Training.
Students are required to complete PSYC 600, PSYC 705, a minimum of two Area courses, PSYC 819, PSYC 999 (comprehensive examinations), PSYC 886 (Internship), and PSYC 899 (Dissertation). Ph.D. students are required to enroll in PSYC 825 each semester prior to the Internship and, thereafter, when participating in the Clinical Psychology Centre. Students complete the additional requirements for their chosen track. Students must successfully defend their dissertation proposals (by June 30th) before applying for internship.
