Lunch poems

SFU Public Square is proud to present lunch poems @sfu, a unique vibrant exchange of poetic ideas and cadence held every third Wednesday of each month, noon to 1:00 pm in the Teck Gallery at Simon Fraser University's Harbour Centre Campus.

The raison d'être of lunch poems @sfu is to invite and welcome everyone to enjoy poetry in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The featured poets read from selected works for the first part of the event, followed by an opportunity for you, the audience, to ask your questions and discuss the art and magic of poetry.

On Wednesday, 19 September, noon - 1:00 pm, in honour of our Community Summit, lunch poems @ sfu featured Canada’s first ever Canadian Parliamentary Poet Laureate George Bowering with guest poet Cecily Nicholson. Event information here.

This event is free and open to the public. Audience members are invited to bring their lunch. Find out more about lunch poems @SFU here.
