Brennan Strandberg-Salmon, REM Major, Bachelor of Environment
Brennan is a well-rounded REM student who is passionate about creating change related to climate justice, building sustainable industries, and water stewardship in his community, school and work place. He is an excellent student who has consistently achieved above a 4.0 CGPA average and was on the Dean's honour roll for six terms in a row. Brennan has devoted countless hours to raising SFU's climate change and sustainability goals. He is an active member of SFU's Student Sustainability Council and has provided advice on SFU's 2025 Sustainability and Climate Resilience Plans. He has also played a leading role in climate advocacy effects as a member of SFU 350. Additional, he has also recommended strategies to SFU Treasury and SFU's Responsible Investment Committee to reduce carbon footprint of its investments by 2025. As a result, he was a nominee for the FENV Changemakers Award in 2023. Among many other accomplishments, he has also been devoted to FENV's promotional initiatives and acting as a student ambassador.
