The School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM) is one of the first interdisciplinary graduate programs in resource management developed in Canada. Home to several internationally recognized research teams in the social and natural sciences, REM @ SFU offers a broad range of topical courses which combine to provide you with one of the most marketable skill sets in the field. Students completing a Master’s or PhD do both interdisciplinary coursework and an academically rigorous research project which may be considered for publication in recognized international journals.
While the workload may be more demanding than other programs, our REM grads are highly respected and sought after across the country and around the world. Employers tell us that our students are ready to start working right away and they wouldn’t hesitate to hire REM graduates again.
