Overview

The External File Viewer class, which is a subclass of the Text Viewer class, displays the contents of an external file in a FRAME entry. The External File Viewer class displays ordinary text files, such as ASCII files.

With an external file viewer you can

change the color and font of text elements
display a column ruler and line numbers
change the viewed file at run time
hotspot text areas to perform actions.

The external file viewer displays data delivered to it by a model and is automatically attached to the external file model.

The External File Viewer and related classes use the model/view paradigm described in SAS/AF online help.
