The first question you'll probably ask is: "What is better for
my purposes, a SAS data set, or a SAS data view?" Here are a few things
to consider:
- Data sets use additional disk space; data views use additional
processing time.
- Data set variables can be sorted and indexed prior to use; data
views must process data in its existing form during execution.
