What Is SAS OnlineTutor?

SAS OnlineTutor is a library of 35 lessons that teach you how to use the SAS environment and how to write programming code to access, manage, analyze, and present data. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced SAS programmer, SAS OnlineTutor has lessons for you, ranging from basic concepts to producing drill-down graphs and enhanced tables in HTML. And you can take these computer lessons from your own computer without leaving your office or home. SAS OnlineTutor offers you just the training you need, when you need it, and at your own pace.

You begin with lessons that give you fast, hands-on experience using Version 8 SAS software to manage your files, write and debug SAS programs, and control your SAS session.

In subsequent lessons you learn how to write SAS programs to

produce list reports, drill-down graphical reports, and enhanced tabular reports
create and edit SAS data sets
read complex raw data files
create and modify variables
process data
produce descriptive statistics
enhance output
use the new Output Delivery System to produce HTML output.

These lessons include interactive questions and feedback, quizzes, and guided practices that enable you to practice your new skills in the actual SAS environment.
