Anatomy workshops
Why are you passionate about reaching out to young people or the public?
Because the human body is simply amazing, and if people of any age understand it better, they are more likely to take care of it.
You are a scientist. Did you ever want to be something else?
I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger.
What do you like most about doing outreach?
The joy on someone’s face when they understand why their body behaves in a certain way.
What was your first summer job?
Working at a coffee shop.
Which favourite artists/groups/pieces of music do to you listen to?
I love music – all kinds. In particular, I love Jack White and think his music sounds best on vinyl.
What are your favorite things to do when you aren’t working?
Going to concerts, hiking/exercising, chatting with friends for hours.
What do you particularly like about working at SFU and in the Faculty of Science?
I work with people who strive to be outstanding, which also inspires me to do the same.
