Dean of Science
Daria is a theoretical physicist and educational developer who works with faculty, sessionals and TAs on developing courses, customizing methods of student assessment, effective use of classroom technology, teaching practice and education research. She is also an Associate Member in the Physics department.
Ruth oversees Science Stores, Science Technical Centre, Environmental Medicine & Physiology Unit, and the Faculty of Science IT group. She also coordinates the development, renovation and assignment of space and serves as the Faculty of Science safety representative.
Cynthia is responsible for the administration and coordination of Science Outreach programs for children, youth and adults. She assists with fundraising, marketing, delivery, evaluation, budget and logistics for all 20 programs.
Sharina works to engage donors, alumni and the corporate community to expand support for student scholarships, bursaries, awards, prizes and priority projects.
Theresa works with faculty members to develop competitive research grants applications.
Alan is responsible for the ongoing development, data extraction and End User Support for the FacSIMS SQL database.
Erin provides administrative support to the Dean and faculty committees. She coordinates faculty appointments, renewals, tenure and promotion and salary reviews in addition to providing clerical support for the management and administration of faculty programs and services.
Diane is responsible for internal and external communications for web, digital and print formats. She also handles press, photography and social media.
Sachi coordinates the front office, handles telephone and in-person queries and assists with event coordination.
Susanne is responsible for the overall management of budgets, human resources, enrolment, retention and admission planning, administrative systems and supervision of Dean's office staff.
Arlene provides support for the financial reporting and budgeting process in the Dean's office. She is also a resource for best practices in Finance procedures and policies.
Eileen is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences with research interests in Earth science education and public awareness of science. As Special Advisor to the Dean on Public Education and Outreach she works to promote the culture of public engagement in the Faculty of Science and is building partnerships to support K-12 science education.
Kathryn oversees recruitment, retention, and admission planning and enrolment management for the Faculty of Science.

Nadia is a pan-campus advisor, servicing both the Surrey and Burnaby campuses. She provides academic advising for Surrey Science students, Management & Systems Science (MSSC) majors, General Science Double Minor program students, deciding Science students over 60 units, and internal Faculty of Science transfer students.
