This program is now being offered online, using the SFU Canvas system.  All lectures are live with our faculty over Zoom, ensuring the course meets accreditation delivery standards.  Upon registration students will receive more information on our online classroom system called Canvas.

Course Description:
This 3-day program provides necessary tools and resources to fulfill the responsibilities of the Hyperbaric Safety Specialist (as defined by CSA Z275.1) in a occupational or clinical hyperbarics. 

Objective:
Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to manage the safety issues associated with occupational diving or tunnelling settings, and the care of patients in a hyperbaric clinical setting, develop a comprehensive safety program, and know how to conduct safe hyperbaric chamber operations in accordance with current industry and regulatory standards.

Note: Completion of this course does not constitute certification or credentialing.

Who Should Attend:
This course is appropriate for occupational diving teams, hyperbaric tunnelling intervention, hyperbaric technologists, respiratory therapists, nurses, physicians, and department managers of a hyperbaric facility.
