Welcome Sharn T. - Case Manager

It is with great pleasure that, as of April 15th, 2021, we will be welcoming Sharn T. (she/her/ hers) to SFU as a Case Manager with the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office (SVSPO). Sharn will be joining the SVSPO to provide survivor-centered, trauma-informed and low-barrier support to SFU and FIC community members impacted by sexual violence and misconduct.

With over 12 years of experience in police-based victim services, Sharn brings a deep understanding how to support people who have experienced sexual violence and trauma and how to navigate the criminal justice system. Sharn has developed and established a set of protocols and procedures to provide integrated support for people who are at high risk of experiencing domestic violence and abuse. She was also involved in a cross-agency collaboration to proactively address community issues before they involve police or other emergency services. Sharn shares her skills and knowledge by providing peer support to colleagues and by serving on several healthy, safety, and wellness committees.

Sharn is excited to join our team and is looking forward to meeting everyone virtually for now, and hopefully in person one day. If there's anything you'd like to know about her or her work experience please do not hesitate to reach out. You can reach Sharn by email at sharn_toor@sfu.ca

Please join us in welcoming Sharn to SFU!
