Creating a Task from an Email

SFU Mail provides an integration between the Flags feature and the Tasks module. When you flag a message, it is then included in your task list. Find instructions below on how to utilize this integration in the Outlook 2016 for PC desktop application.


Creating a Task From an Email

1. Select the email that you would like to create a task from. Click the Follow Up button in the ribbon. 

2. Choose a date/time from the drop-down menu for when to follow-up on this task. If you do not want to assign a date to it, select No Date.

3. That message will now have a small flag icon on the right-hand side of it in the message list. 

4. Within your task module, that message will now be in your To-Do List as a task.
