Additional considerations:

  • If carrying out a Field Activity, complete a mandatory field activity plan before you go.
  • Registration of Canadians Abroad allows the Government of Canada to notify you in case of an emergency abroad or a personal emergency at home. The service also enables you to receive important information before or during a natural disaster or civil unrest.
  • Create an emergency plan. This should include a list of emergency contacts (e.g. local emergency numbers, International SOS number and app, local consulate, etc.) and evacuation routes from your main locations.
