DIRECTOR-COMMUNITY SAFETY / PERSONAL SECURITY ADVISOR
The Director - Community Safety/Personal Security Advisor addresses the safety concerns of students, staff and faculty. In addition, the coordinator provides information and training, as well as a place for members of the campus community to discuss issues around personal safety. Several workshops are conducted through this office, including personal safety, residence safety, violence in the workplace, and robbery prevention.
Health and Counselling Services operates two health clinics; one on the Burnaby campus and one on the Vancouver campus at Harbour Centre. Counselling services are offered at all three SFU campuses.
Vancouver and Burnaby clinics provide primary health care and health education to all SFU students. The integrated team of health care professionals is made up of doctors, nurses, and health promotion specialists. Professional psychologists and clinical counsellors offer free, confidential services to help you meet the challenges of achieving your academic and personal potential. Participate in short-term counselling, workshops or support groups that address personal development concerns.
