Older Adult Stakeholder Workshops in SFU Gerontology Innovation Course
Members of 411 Senior Centre Society participated in a series of stakeholder workshops during Dr. Sixsmith's (STAR Institute Director and SFU Professor of Gerontology) new Gerontology Innovation course this semester. The course looked at how we can adopt a more innovation-focused approach to respond to the key challenges in aging in the 21st Century.
Students were tasked with identifying key problem areas and developing ideas for a practical solution. Students had the opportunity to work with older adults stakeholders from 411 to refine their solutions. STAR developed an impact evaluation questionnaire to capture the experiences and impact of the stakeholder involvement.
